Campaign for Real Ale

Seaton Tramway Itinerary, Thurs 19th Sept

Here is the plan for our outing this Thursday:

((WEDS Update: I don't know who are planning to go tomorrow and particularly anyone from Exmouth, but I am now going to get the 9.25 train from Exmouth to be sure of catching the 10.20 Bus 9A from Exeter bus station. (I previously suggested the 157 bus at 10.00 from Exmouth to connect at Sidmouth but if it was late that could go wrong). Hope to see you, Cheers Martyn))

We aim to travel up and down the line using a variety of the narrow gauge trams and stopping off at Colyford and Colyton to visit the pubs there.

Travel by bus to arrive at Seaton Tramway Station and purchase a Day Explorer ticket (£12.70 or £14 with donation).

The trams run every 20 minutes . We aim to gather at the station and catch the 12.00 tram (if you miss that the next is 12.20) and get off at Colyford to visit the White Hart and the Wheelwrights Arms.

Then it will be onward to Colyton and the Kingfisher and Gerrard Arms.

On returning to Seaton you may wish to make further trips maybe getting off at one or other of the extra stations for a bit of birdwatching or visit some of Seaton's pubs.

Travel to Seaton:
From Exeter Bus station 9A bus at 10.20, goes via Sidmouth (11.19) arrives Seaton 11.51 (there is a stop near the trams)
From Exmouth 10.00 bus 157 change at Sidmouth onto the 9A
From Honiton 10.27 bus 9 to Sidmouth (11.10) and join the 9A

Alternative travel, cutting down bus times:

Exeter Central 10:30 - 11:05 Axminster
11:15 Bus 885 (Beer) - 11:44  Marine Place (Stop B) Seaton
