The stroll starts at Double Locks pub, Canal Banks with a cider festival! Emotes-face-smile-icon.png

The pub is approx. 12 mins walk from Marsh Barton train station. Trains from Dawlish direction arrive here just after the hour and trains from Exeter direction arrive just after the half hour. If travelling by bus it's about a 20 mins walk from Countess Wear roundabout. Walk a short distance along the Dawlish Road towards the swing bridge and just before the canal there is a track towards Exeter that takes you to the Double Locks.

The cider stroll will depart from the pub at 1pm. (NB the pub opens at 11am, the cider festival is due to start at noon so plenty of time to arrive early if desired.)

We will walk along the canal into Exeter arriving at our next stop Topsham Brewery & Taproom, Exeter Quays at approximately 1.40pm.

Leaving the Taproom at 2.30pm we will continue into the city centre to our next stop which is Cuckoo Taproom, Paris Street, arriving there approximately 2.50pm. Lots of interesting ciders in the fridges and usually a good draught cider from Ross on Wye or Find & Foster.

Departing The Cuckoo at 3.30pm we next head off to The Bowling Green, Exeter, Blackboy Rd. just a 10mins stroll away, arriving approximately 3.40pm. A previous Urban POTY and always offering real cider.

Departing The Bowling Green at 4.30pm we will next head to The Old Fire House, Exeter, in New North Rd. arriving there at approximately 4.45pm. A previous CPOTY runner up and third placed this year, it always has a great range of real ciders.

Leaving at 5.30pm our final destination is The Imperial, Exeter, in New North Road where we should arrive at approximately 5.45pm. You can always enjoy a choice of real ciders and hopefully Sandford Orchards The General at 8.4%.

I hope to see many of you on this second City Cider Stroll. As last year, feel free to dip in and out as you wish, buses are also an option if you don’t want to walk it all. Please let me know if you are planning to join us!

Whatever the weather, enjoy Cider & Perry Month with a glass of real cider somewhere! Any queries, questions, cider updates please email me at ku.gro.armac.retexe@rediC

Cheers,
Yvonne
