Under new management since 29 April 2026, following an attractive modern refurb that has improved the look no end. Very much the backstreet bistro, bar and conversation cave, with a beer list restricted to independent breweries based within 30 miles of the pub. No cask ales yet on the wall of Flojet pumps. Located in a residential area close to the town centre, its other big draw is the wide range of tapas-style small plates, plus lunchtime bowls. Sunday brunch from 10:00, with not a banger or bacon in site.
