See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
A traditional and quiet back-street inn, established around 1770, that lies just off the centre of this quaint town, a short walk from the seafront and bus terminus. An old-style wood-paneled bar with an open fire attracts a strong local trade, and leads to a dedicated dining area serving good food. Three beers, all from the Wells and Young's range, are normally available. Dogs, but not children, are welcome indoors. Find out about the King of Chit - a traditional competition.
